LACTULOSE SOLUTION CALCULATION IN A READY TO USE SYRUP FORMULATIOIN
* Specific gravity of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v) = 1.3303
Weight of 1 ml of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v) = 1.3303 grams
Weight of 100 ml of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v) = 133.03 grams
So,
70 grams of Lactulose is present in 133.03 grams of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v)
1 gram of Lactulose is present in (133.03/70) grams of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v)
3.35 grams of Lactulose is present in (133.03/70 * 3.35) grams of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v)
Hence,
3.35 grams of Lactulose is present in 6.366 grams of Lactulose Solution 70% (w/v)
So,
Composition of Lactulose Solution in Ready to use Syrup = 6.366 grams per 5 ml.
Overage = 4.47 %
Composition + Overage of Lactulose Solution in Ready to use Syrup= (6.366 * 4.47/100) + 6.366 = 6.65 g
Quantity required per bottle = 6.65 * 24 = 159.6 g
Quantity required for batch of 10,000 bottles = 159.6*10000/1000 = 1596 Kg
