MOTIVATION

(INNOVATION, REACTIVITY)

MOTIVATION: It is a general term applying to the entire class of drives, desires, needs, wishes and similar forces.

Motivation then results into a chain reaction starting out with felt needs, resulting in wants or goals, which give rise to tensions and then causing action towards achieving goals and finally satisfaction results. This is called as the

NEED---WANT---SATISFACTION---Chain.

So motivation results into innovation and reactivity, which is a chain process, discussed above.

Needs Give Rise to Wants Which Cause Tensions

Which Give Rise to Actions Which Results in Satisfaction

Need---Want---Satisfaction---Chain

MOTIVATORS: These are things, which induce an individual to perform an action. A manager can do much to sharpen motives by establishing an environment favorable to certain drives.
